Alexander's Special Day

Alexander's preschool gives all the children whose birthdays dont come during the school year a "special day". We made Sponge Bob cupcakes last night and he had a Sponge Bob special day!

Alexander was dressed from shirt to shoes in Sponge Bob.

Note the shoes:

They were a "must" purchase at Walmart the other day. This is why I dont take all three kids
shopping on a regular basis!

The party starts with the preschool kids enjoying the snack of super yummy cupcakes and then they have a (very loud) birthday parade.

They even let Maggie join in on the festivities!

This is the video of the birthday parade:

Cute bag!

I just made this bag but I am not pleased with it and I dont have the energy (or time) to redo. Dingbat me totally spaced any interfacing in the straps. They are a bit flimsy. :-(

Here is a cute HOBO bag that I plan to make soon. I hope it goes much faster than the one I just did! Directions here.

Our new favorite movie!

At least for us girls of the house. We got the movie Enchanted from the Easter bunny and watched it on Monday. I just loved it! There was a princess named Giselle who was adorable:

Then there was the man who took her in when she appeared in the "real world":

He is a little hard to resist....
Of course there had to be helper animals which, in NYC, happened to be cockroaches, rats from the sewer, and birds! This cracked me up and I laughed out loud! The witch was Susan Sarandon. She did a good job of being scary in a funny sort of way. Maggie didnt take her this way, however, and only thought she was scary. This is why she only gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars while I gave 5 out of 5. My new favorite! I could watch this movie every day! I really could- I do revert back to a 3 year old when I really like a movie. I watch it over and over and over and over again! Until I get sick of it! Unfortunately, Alexander wont let me do this. I asked him if he thought the movie was Tres diddily good and he said it was Tres diddily bad! Can you believe it? I should have figured. He was reciting the weather report during the movie. I never thought that I would ever say, "If you want to recite the weather report, could you go in the other room?" Kids can really bring out the irony in a situation. Anyway, five out of 5 stars. *****

Happy Easter!

So I tried out this new template and I lost half of my stuff!! So I guess I will have to redo everything. I think I will change the template after Easter so I may wait. What do ya think?

Maggie has a talk in primary tomorrow (her very first) and then we are headed to WVA to my Aunt and Uncle's house for Easter dinner. We are planning on having an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. I hope it goes well. With just 4 little ones able to to hunt it shouldnt be too crazy! Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!
