My Gifts

This is my kitchen window facing the backyard. All of these wonderful plants (except for the geranium which was given out at church on Sunday) were given to me by my wonderful children! They keep coming home from school with more plants! I especially like the one that Alexander brought me today. It is the second one from the right- the grass- note the face stickers on the cup it is planted in (You may have to click on the picture to make it bigger). It's way too cute! I love having plants in the window.

Speaking of plants, it is about planting season here! This is a very exciting time of the year for me. Getting the plants in the ground and seeing them grow is so satisfying! The hard work reaps so many rewards. What a great analogy for this life on Earth. Have a great day!

Baby time!

This is Andrew sitting in, what has been called his cadillac of a high chair. It really is a nice one. I have used it for three babies now and it is still in great shape- and it has certainly taken a beating over the years. Maggie used to rock herself to sleep in it. We would know she was falling asleep from the banging noise. Andrew isnt doing that yet, but he is having his own fun in it. We call it the "taste test" when he tries a new food. So far Andrew has definitely preferred the fruits over the veggies. I hope this isnt a trend that continues! He is so funny- he will practically gag on a food but happily open his mouth for the next bite of it. He will make a terrible face and shudder all over but will try it again. At least he is agreeable! Then, I feel sorry for him and give him a bite of something that he likes- such as bananas. What a little cutie. Right now he is rolling around on the carpet, pulling at the computer cover that protects the computer from little hands (and vice versa). Oh, now he has rolled over the chair, cant turn over anymore and is letting out little squeals of frustration. I love watching him. Babies are so much fun!

Happy Mothers Day!

Alexander wrote his very own song and Bob and Alexander came up with the music to go with it. Introducing our prodigy (and his Daddy) singing his Mother's Day song: 100 Little Fish
